The People in Your City

Scripture Acts 18:1-17

Who are the people in your city? What do they do? What are they like? Where do they go for fun?

God told Paul in a vision while he was in Corinth that there were “many people in this city belong to me” (v. 10).

In our passage, Paul meet a lot of different people; Aquila, Priscilla, Silas, Timothy, Titius Justus, Crispus, Gallio, Sosthenes, and many others. He is able to share the gospel with many people and many people get saved.

Who are the people in your city? Do they belong to God? What would happen if the Christians in your city viewed everyone this way. What if they knew without a shadow of a doubt that many people would believe if they just shared the gospel with them. Do you think their confidence in being a witness for Jesus would increase?

I think believing that “many people in this city belong to me” is one of the keys to an outreach heart. No matter who the people are in your city, what they do, what they are like, or where they go for fun, many of them belong to God and they are waiting for you to help them bridge that connection with their God!

So what are you waiting for?
